Privacy policy

Our website may be used without entering personal information. Different rules may apply to certain services on our site, however, and are explained separately below. We collect personal information from you (e.g. name, address, email address, telephone number, etc.) in accordance with the provisions of German data protection statutes. The legal framework for data protection may be found in the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) Bundesdatenschutzgesetz (BDSG) and the Telemedia Act (TMG). Telemediengesetz (TMG).

Server Data

For technical reasons, data such as the following, which your internet browser transmits to us or to our web space provider (so called server log files), is collected:

  • websites that you visit
  • date and time of your visit
  • data volume transferred
  • report of successful retrieval
  • type and version of the browser you use
  • operating system
  • websites that linked you to our site (referrer URL)
  • your Internet Protocol (IP) address

This anonymous data is stored separately from any personal information you may have provided, thereby making it impossible to connect it to any particular person. The data is used for statistical purposes in order to improve our website and services.

Personal data

Personal data are individual details about personal or factual circumstances of a specific or identifiable natural person. This includes information such as name, address, telephone number and birth date. Information which is not directly related to the real identity of a person – e.g. visited websites or number of users of a website – is not personal data.

Contacting us

On our website we offer you the opportunity to contact us, either by email and/or by using a contact form. In such event, information provided by the user is stored for the purpose of facilitating communications with the user. No data is transferred to third parties. Nor is any of this information matched to any information that may be collected by other components of our website.

Linking of services and third-party content

It is possible that there may be links on this online site to third-party content such as videos from YouTube, map material from Google Maps, RSS feeds or graphics from other websites. This always requires that the providers of this content (hereinafter referred to as „third-party providers“) become aware of the users‘ IP addresse. Without the IP address, they could not send the content to the respective user‘s browser. The IP address is therefore essential for presenting such content. We make an effort to use only content for which the relevant providers use the IP address only for delivering the content. However, we cannot inluence the use if the third-party providers store the IP addresses for statistical purposes, for example. If we are aware of this, we will inform the users.

In several places of this website, cookies are used which serve to make the site more user-friendly, effective and safe. Cookies are small text files allowing for the recognition of users. They are stored by the browser memory on the computer of the user. Most of the cookies used by Gretsch-Unitas are so-called "session cookies" which are automatically deleted after the user has left the website.

We also use "permanent cookies" in order to capture information about users who repeatedly visit the website. In this way an optimum user guidance is achieved, and the website user is offered the greatest possible variety and availability of new content. The content of a persistent cookie is limited to an identification number. Name, IP address etc. are not stored.

Using this website is also possible without cookies. Users can deactivate the storage of cookies in their browser, or limit the storage to specific websites, or adjust their browser in a way that it notifies the arrival of a cookie. User also can delete cookies from their hard disc. In this case, only a limited page presentation and limited user guidance are possible.

You can manage many online-advertisement-cookies via the US-American website or the EU-website
